Not to be confused with the mostly friendly folks willing to shove needles through your flesh so you can have pretty jewelry, the piercer is either the monstrous mollusk of DnD (that appears to have its own hermaphroditic reproduction like snails) or the larval form of the Roper, depending on your source. I’m using the 2014 Monster Manual which refers to them as the larval form. A larval form cannot be seduced because it is a juvenile (in addition to my low-intelligence consent restrictions).
Consent is key and juveniles of any species are always off-limits regardless of the fantasy setting. That being said, I’ve played with some people who like to just push buttons. Please crush them.
You move into the darkest depths of the cavern, holding aloft your torch to try and examine the stalactites dangling above. You’ve heard that a colony of piercers may reside here.
Make a DC 5 Performance check to poke at the piercer.
On a success: You spot tiny eyestalks in the shadows of the ceiling and start to move forward to make your case when you hear a few pebbles strike the ground. Half a breath later, you are crushed beneath the weight of the very creature you sought out.
PC takes 6d6 piercing damage.
On a fail: You see nothing but the shadows of the ceiling. Half a breath later, you are crushed beneath the weight of the very creature you sought out.
PC takes 6d6 piercing damage.
